In Breckenridge, the responsibility of hosting the largest Oktoberfest in the Rocky Mountains isn’t taken lightly. With more than three-dozen genuine German cuisine and brew vendors, excessive Bavarian lederhosen dancing, and a weekend packed full of fun for all ages, the annual Breckenridge Oktoberfest goes all out.
While you might be thinking the weekend is full of beer, the organizers didn’t forget about those under the drinking age. The Breckenridge Oktoberfest offers entertainment for everyone. Work off some extra calories before consuming fine brews with a pre-festival 5k run or test your skills in a variety of traditional German games like the popular Hammerschlagen. For kids, be sure to take them to the face-painting station to get into Oktoberfest spirit.
What’s best about the Breckenridge Oktoberfest at this time of year are the vivid yellow aspen trees that surround the town of Breckenridge. Make for a weekend getaway and join our Breckenridge & Vail Self-guided Bike and bike along serene bike paths full of golden aspens as well as experiencing a taste of Colorado’s vibrant and booming craft brew scene.
