Itinerary

Fruita & Grand Junction Guided Mountain Bike Tour

Stunning red rock terrain, incomparable views and rides for all abilities sum up your Fruita & Grand Junction Guided Mountain Bike Tour!

Day 1 – Arrive Fruita – Bike 18 Road Trails: Prime Cut, PBR and Kessel Run – 10 mi (16 km)

Your colossal mountain bike adventure begins in Fruita & Grand Junction, home to stunning, surreal, sandstone landscapes and unparalleled terrain. Meet your tour guide for your welcome orientation and route overview. This afternoon, we’ll head out for the 18 Road Trails (also known as North Fruita Desert Trails), a perfect introduction to the area. Combining gradual, gentle climbs with fast and flowing descents, you’ll feel like you’re on the adult version of a roller coaster. The views of the Grand Valley aren’t too shabby, either.

Day 2 – Loma Loops: Rustler, Mary’s and Wrangler – 15 mi (24 km)

Following a hearty breakfast, we’ll head out for a classic Fruita-area ride, starting out at the Loma Trailhead about 5 minutes from town. The terrain is a mix of fast, packed-dirt singletrack and rocky features, all the while riding along the rim of the Colorado River. There are plenty of options to extend the ride with more difficult trails as well, like Horsethief and Steve’s Loop. Dinner is on your own, and we’ll recommend the best restaurants in town to handle big appetites!

Breakfast included | Lodging: Hotel, private home or condo

Day 3 – Kokopelli Trail and Western Rim – 20 mi (32 km)

This will be the biggest day, combining the world-famous Kokopelli Trail with the jaw-dropping Western Rim. Beginning at the Rabbit Valley Trailhead, we’ll head west on the Kokopelli Trail, winding between amazing sandstone rock formations and views that go forever. The Western Rim Trail is aptly-named, as it meanders along the rim above the Colorado River while featuring super-fun single track. Tonight, celebrate your riding achievements at a farewell dinner.

Breakfast/dinner included | Lodging: Hotel, home or condo

Day 4 – 18 Road Trails: Western Zippity, Zippity Do-Da, Joe’s Ridge- 10-12 mi (16 19 km)

Heading back to the 18 Road trails, we’ll take on the more difficult (and thus, more fun!) trails on the last day of the trip. There’s slightly more climbing and intermediate to advanced level descending, but it’s totally worth the effort and will serve as a perfect ending to four days in paradise.

Breakfast included | Lodging: N/A
